Association

Association meetings are held on every first Tuesday of the month from 7:00 p.m. at Kreutzigerstraße 18 in Berlin-Friedrichshain.


The sponsor of the runaway house “Villa Stöckle”, the Counseling Center and Support is the Berlin “Verein zum Schutz vor psychiatrischer Gewalt e.V.”.

Emerging from the self-help movement, it was founded in 1989 by people affected and not affected by psychiatry. The right of veto for the psychiatry-affected members of the association, which is anchored in the statutes, ensures the principle of affected person control.

The association is recognized as a non-profit and charitable organization.

Beyond the operation of the existing projects, the association is committed to the creation of further offers for people affected by psychiatry.

The Verein zum Schutz vor psychiatrischer Gewalt e.V. is a member of the World Network of Users and Survivors of Psychiatry and the European Network of (ex-)Users and Survivors of Psychiatry as well as a sponsoring organization of MindFreedom International.

The association is a member of the PARITÄTISCHEN Wohlfahrtsverband Berlin.

Some members of the association are involved in the Federal Association of People Experiencing Psychiatry e.V. (BPE) are engaged.

Association meeting

Members and interested people meet on every first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at Kreutzigerstraße 18 in Berlin-Friedrichshain.

Membership

The association currently has about 50 members. There is no membership fee. Membership is open to anyone who has worked for some time in the association or in one of its projects. In addition to cooperation and membership, the association can also be supported with donations, which are always urgently needed.
